A THANKSGIVING MESSAGE.... WORDS FROM THE PAST

 In 1963 , just a few days before Thanksgiving, John F Kennedy was murdered....I use this term rather the assassination because he was indeed murdered... not because he was a Democrat or any political party persuasion but because of what he stood for, what he believed, and most importantly ,what he was about to unveil to the American people and to the world.  

In his brief political career he had gained an insight to the most insidious, corrupt plan to destroy the nation by any means possible.  Those in charge and in power knew the truth must be destroyed before it was revealed.   The only way they could conceive since he could not be persuaded nor bought was to silence him and they did.... and yes got away with it....or so they hoped.  

JFK was to deliver a speech in Dallas on that terrible day.   He would make his comments in which the ground work for the uncovering of this insidious plan would be unveiled.   Here are the words laying the ground work :  

“We in this country, in this generation, are — by destiny rather than choice — the watchmen on the walls of world freedom.

We ask, therefore, that we may be worthy of our power and responsibility,

that we may exercise our strength with wisdom and restraint, and

that we may achieve in our time and for all time the ancient vision of peace on earth, goodwill toward men …”

He continued:

“That must always be our goal — and the righteousness of our cause must always underlie our strength.

For as was written long ago, ‘Except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.' "

JFK understood the need for America to remain free and understood what was occurring to unravel that precious thing called "Freedom"

April 27, 1961 he addressed the American Newspaper Publishers giving a brief glimpse into what he saw in store for this country if certain groups were successful. 

The last paragraph is indeed telling of todays media.

“The very word ‘secrecy’ is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and to secret proceedings …

We are opposed around the world by a … ruthless conspiracy that relies primarily on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence — on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice, on guerrillas by night instead of armies by day.

It is a system which has conscripted vast human and material resources into the building of a tightly knit, highly efficient machine that combines military, diplomatic, intelligence, economic, scientific and political operations.

Its preparations are concealed, not published. Its mistakes are buried, not headlined. Its dissenters are silenced, not praised. No expenditure is questioned, no rumor is printed, no secret is revealed.”

And so we come to this time ...57 years later...and those with a sense of history and the ability to honestly see and understand the words of warning JFK was trying to convey know that these works of evil Kennedy warned of are stronger than ever.  They have succeeded ...seemingly .. to have thwarted another voice crying in the wilderness of the dangers our Republic faces.  

Theodore Roosevelt expressed the same message in this statement and thus the conclusion of my Thanksgiving message :   

 Thanksgiving Proclamation, October 24, 1903:

“In NO OTHER PLACE and at NO OTHER TIME has the experiment of government OF the people, BY the people, FOR the people, been tried on so vast a scale as here in our own country …

Failure would not only be a dreadful thing for us, but a dreadful thing for all mankind … It would mean loss of hope for all who believe in the power and the righteousness of liberty.

Therefore, in thanking God for the mercies extended to us in the past, WE BESEECH HIM that He MAY NOT WITHHOLD THEM IN THE FUTURE.”

YEA THOUGH I WALK THROUGH THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW

In recent weeks I've had a lot of time on my hands to consider what this Coronavirus has brought about. How has it affected our thoughts ... for better or worse? Where will it lead us at the end of all the sickness and confusion? Who will lead us?  How will life be different for us, or will it change little or none?

In looking for answers, I did more than usual Bible study looking for answers since, in all my reading, I discovered that man did not have the answers I was looking to find.  

In Psalms 23, a passage that many memorized as children and many seem to have forgotten, there seemed to be some answers to a lot of questions. Take a moment to refresh your memory in case you have forgotten just how it goes. 

1The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

 One verse struck me immediately. 
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 
A bit of background on this verse, if you will allow me.
The Valley of the Shadow is a real place, not just a metaphorical idea in the Psalmist David's mind. It is located in an area between Jericho and Jerusalem and is indeed a valley of shadows, a barren place filled with dangerous animals, as well as thieves and robbers who hid in the many crevices and attacked travelers and is probably the area mentioned in the parable of the Good Samaritan. The Shepherds in those times had to drive their sheep through this forsaken area from the Jordan River Valley to the hill country of Judea.  
Today, many feel as if they are being driven through this valley with all the unknowns about the virus, which is having its effect on all. But rest assured that there is little to actually fear for as the next part of the verse states, "thy rod and thy staff they comfort me."  

In the Psalmist days, the rod was a club probably made from a part of the tree where what some would call a knot had formed. It was a very hard piece of wood that was virtually indestructible. In it, the shepherd placed sharp-pointed metal pieces, and when wild animals attacked his flock, he drove them away with it.  

Today, we have medications, usually given by a sharp piece of metal, with which to drive the dangerous attacker away.   

The staff was the long pole with a hook shape carved on the end with which the shepherd used to lead his sheep and to reach out and bring to safety one that may have fallen into a crevice or became entangled in the thorny brambles.  

Today, the crevices and thorny brambles are the media with all the half truths and outright deceptions. Fortunately, we have an earthly shepherd that reaches out with the staff of truth lest we forget we also have a Heavenly Shepherd that is there to guide us through all the snares along the way. 

Where will it all lead?

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

The Good Shepherd... Our Heavenly Shepherd has said that "He will never leave us nor forsake us," and we can see the "table" that is prepared for us even in the midst of this enemy, the virus. "I shall not want" is a very key phrase. Our needs ... not our wants (for we want too much) ... are being provided.  Although we may grow angry at the hoarders who took the last roll of toilet paper or the last package of hamburger, our needs will be and are being met.   
How will life be different for us, or will it change little or none?
Metaphorically, our heads are anointed with oil, which was a sign of blessing among other things, and yes, even as we worry about finances in the moment, our cup will run over with His blessings, when all is said and done. Does it mean we will be rich in money? Perhaps, but we are told not to lay up treasures here on the earth that moth and rust destroy, and where thieves can break through and steal. In times like these, our treasures come from giving and helping others who are in fear and sometimes in physical need as well. 
Some will be changed for the better. Those are the ones who cast their burdens and fears on the one who has strong shoulders and has promised that He can bear them all.  

1. Matthew 11:28-30 (NIV)  28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

   Psalm 52:22   Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.

    Unfortunately there are those who will only grow angry and filled with even more despair and those are the very ones who need our help more today and will need it more when all of this has passed. For them, we can only pray the words of man will not reach them that they might understand that.
2. The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. Psalms 145:1How should we pray:James 1:6: But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.Then lest we forget that in these times we have been shown the way through "The Valley of the Shadow" that hangs over our nation.  

 2 Chronicles 7:14: 14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

FEAR and the VIRUS Part 2

I posted this article  ( https://afticker.blogspot.com/2020/03/fear-and-virus.html "  just a few hours ago and folks are asking... "but what do we do?" even though the article is pretty clear on the subject in the last paragraph.   So allow me to expand on the matter of FEAR and what we do about it.  The virus is not the enemy but Satan and FEAR is. 

You can control whether or not you have FEAR... whether you are encouraged or discouraged. Jesus would not have said to “let not your heart be troubled”

Satan cannot control you outside of your will. He cannot do anything without your cooperation and consent. But you need to recognize that you’re in a battle.

Ephesians 6:10-12 reads,

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

James 4:7 says, “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

God says we are to take control of all things that the enemy throws against us. Fear can take no hold unless WE allow it.                                             

2Tim 1:7 says For God gave us a spirit not if FEAR BUT if love and SELF CONTROL. Fear is a weapon of the enemy... Satan....and Satan has no control except what we give him.  

Isaiah 54:17 ESV   No weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall confute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the  servants of the Lord and their vindication from me, declares the Lord.  

Hebrews 2:14-15 ESV

Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil, and deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery.  

Romans 6:16 says this,

“Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? 

I personally believe that people’s first reactions to a crisis will dictate whether or not they overcome. Most people let their emotions control their course, giving them time to build huge strongholds of unbelief in their hearts. Then, after the strongholds have been well established, they turn to God and ask for help. They don’t realize that it’s much easier to keep the storm of a crisis from getting inside their hearts than it is to remove it later.  

Many believe that because you’re human... a fearful and paralyzing response in a crisis is normal. The truth is that you are not only human;( if you are a believer) you’ve got the Holy Spirit of God living on the inside of you, and therefore you can prevent your heart from being troubled.

When you stand up and do what you can do, then God supernaturally energizes you.As example... Peter couldn’t walk on the water by his own human power, but he did get out of the boat under his own power. The moment he took the first step, the supernatural power of God enabled him to overcome and walk on water. 

So in all this keep in mind... Jesus did not bring you to the middle of the lake to sink your boat.   When the storm arose the disciples were in FEAR...They had just witnessed the miracles of Jesus and He was with them in the boat... sleeping because He had told them..."Let's go to the other side."  All of this and they were struck with FEAR... When then woke Jesus he first calmed the storm... by speaking to it.. Then Jesus turns to his  disciples and ask them, "where is you faith?"  Had the disciple so soon forgotten who they were on the boat with? Had they forgotten that Jesus had just healed many people right before their eyes? Had they not heard Jesus say, "Let go to the other side?"  Did they doubt Jesus when he said they were going to the other side?  So many times when FEAR arises such as the virus in this case..we then become afraid due to circumstances that surround us. 

So remember....  For God gave us a spirit not if FEAR BUT if love and SELF CONTROL.  The Virus is a circumstance....Fear  is a weapon of the enemy... Satan....and Satan has no control except what we give him.  Stop looking at the circumstance with FEAR and remember who is in your boat.  

FEAR and the VIRUS

I ran across this on social media and in light of all the media HYPE and FEAR MONGERING .... not saying the Virus is not real so don't get me wrong... I'm saying there is more than the media is telling.   

Take time to read and consider what is written.  

Rodney Howard-Brown on coronavirus in today's ministry:

I talked about what is coming, more than ten years. The people in our church are ready for this. Therefore, nothing of what is happening now is a surprise to me. Every god of America has fallen - sports have fallen, Hollywood has fallen, television shows canceled. Even the god of some mega churches fell, these churches are empty today. I have warned for years that churches will disappear in one night.

I hold in my hands the Rockefeller organization document, which was published in 2010. Here is the script that we met today. What is happening now is not an accident; everything was planned. Bill Gates talked about the pandemic four years ago. The document is called “Scenario for Future Technology and International Development,” 53 pages.

It says here that the result of this scenario will be:
“20 percent of the world's population will be infected. People’s mobility will be blocked, airports will be closed. Sports events will be canceled, shops closed, theaters closed, churches astounded.

A pandemic will produce shortages, including disinfectants and toilet paper. If people refuse the vaccine, they will not be allowed to travel. Political assemblies will be illegal, public protests will be banned. Martial law will be introduced and the new global control system will come into effect. People around the world will be open to sharing their security rights. ”

The plan was to use a pandemic to control the planet. Not just a virus is enough for this; fear is enough for this. This week I talked with different people from about thirty countries, with pastors of thousands of churches, and none of them know a single person infected with coronavirus. I do not say that he does not exist, I say that he is a weapon to control people with fear. Media is part of the whole process because they are designed to instill fear 24/7 on people.

Coronavirus has been in America since last year. I saw a request from the Center for Disease Control about hiring people in quarantined medical facilities in 19 major US cities. The request was made in November 2019. This is all fraud and a means of control by which they want to reduce the population.

What is written in the book of Revelation is printed. Globalists lead us to a single government, a single monetary system and the coming of antichrist. And I believe that God raised Trump to suspend it.

There are three possible scenarios. The first is the beginning of the last days according to the book of Revelation. But I am inclined to believe that this is a great test. Second, the World Health Organization will try to promote the globalist plan and force everyone to make a fake vaccine. The vaccine is already there. And they will kill a lot of people with their vaccine (just like people die from a flu vaccine), because the goal of the vaccine is to reduce the world's population. And the third scenario, which I am inclined to, is that God will overturn all this on the heads of globalists, using President Trump, and will close it all over the next month. And all that they planned will come to zero. This is what we will pray for - that God will drive the wheels out of the chariots of the pharaoh. Within a week or two, I will find out if the third scenario is accurate, and I'll let you know.

At the moment, I do not advise people to fly to other countries, because changes may happen in the next couple of weeks. I encourage everyone to stock up on water and food until the end of April. And I will be storing food for our church, because I have to take care of the church. I want you to know that the church is for you, and here you can feel protected. I don’t know how crazy the next two to three weeks will be, but you don’t get crazy. Stay strong in the Lord, remembering that He will never leave you.

There is peace in my heart. At the heart of my assistant Eric is peace. This is the time when we will see cities and nations shocked by the glory of God. This is harvest time. This is not a time of religion and playing a warm church, it is a time of radicals - such as Elisha, Elijah, Paul ... And this is also the time when you take away the wealth of this world. This is the time of the transfer of wealth into the hands of God's children.

I forbid all fear in your lives! Stop listening to lying media! You can choose to listen to the media and scamper in fear, like hens that have their heads chopped off, or stand on God's word, which will keep its people at this time. When doctors say that they cannot do anything, when bankers say that they cannot do anything, when heads of administrations say that they cannot do anything, God comes to the very middle of the impossible!

A New Level of Stupidity

Bert , it appears is an old fart like me... a bit older perhaps but certainly as observant.  
In the past couple of weeks I have never in my 75 years of life observed a level of stupidity...fueled by media driven fear.   I have lived through "Pandemics" of every proportion and fear and none have reached this level of sheer stupidity.  

I recall the Polio epidemic.. at one time considered pandemic in the early 50's.  There were people becoming infected all across this country... a number in the small town of Johnson City, Tennessee, where I grew up... one that I recall..a good friend in my class at Annie Wilder Stratton Elementary school.  There were something like 3000+ deaths in this time and yet...there was no hoarding.. no panic,, no closings...but there also was no great media hype..no fear mongering... just a calm reporting of the facts by reporters with no hidden agendas.  

In the 80's we had the measles pandemic with somewhere around 1,200,000 deaths world wide...in 1991.. the last great outbreak nearly 1,000, 000 died world wide... only a few hundred in the US.. but yet world wide there was no panic.  

In 1968-69 there was the "Hong Kong Flu" that spread quickly from Hong Kong to SEA and Vietnam... I don't recall the slowing of troopo shipments to SEA during this time,  Guess getting shot was less risky than the flu that killed over a million worldwide within a year. In the US...100,000 died and most were over 65 years of age.
B there was no panic.. no hoarding.. no closings of business or schools overall.  But then there was also no media hype ..24/7.  ( FYI this had the same root as todays CV H3N2 virus)

In 2007 yet again another "flu" epidemic (SARS) which was world wide but didn't have a great effect on the US for some reason .  There were .. according to WHO.. 0ver285, 000 deaths. This"flu" was also from the H1N1 virus and mutation.  Again we had no panic..no closing of business. no stock market  crashes despite being pandemic and in as many countries as the CV of today.  

Then in 2013-14 we had a pandemic called EBOLA.   that killed over 12,000  and counting worldwide.and several thousand in the US  Yet the panic in the US was confined to about 8-9 states.  Quarantine was of folks entering the US by air travel from countries most effected by the virus.  Schools were closed in only a few places.  A building housing two schools in Cleveland Ohio were shut down for one day to sanitize because a staff member had been on a plane occupied by one of the individuals that was a reported case the say after the supposedly infected person had flown on it . Three schools were closed in Belton , Tx for no other reason than panic due to reporting.  Another school was closed in Missisippi because the principal had visited an African country during the summer.  

Again...there was no hoarding.. no wide spread closures...no 24/7 reporting , no fear mongering.  

Government action did not occur until after several hundred deaths and months after the virus was first found in the US and yet there was no hue and cry by the media or politicians.   

In this case the CDC actually failed.  One reason and similar to today's CV problem.. vaccinations had not been approved for use in humans by the FDA.  Having a vaccine and having it approved for use depends on how fast the hoops in the FDA can be jumped through.  

The probability that a potential drug entering clinical trial stage will be eventually approved by the FDA decreased from 23 percent to 11.83 percent( from 2003 to 2013) This means that the FDA is asking drug makers to produce more and more data, yet it's increasingly less likely to approve new drugs. Add onto this the cost..The Center for the Study of Drug Development estimated the cost of drug development in three studies stretching back to the early 1990s. According to their estimates, in 1991 a pharmaceutical company had to earn $412 million to make new drug development a worthwhile investment. By 2003 this number more than doubled to $1.047 billion. By 2016, the number more than doubled again to $2.558 billion (all numbers are in 2013 dollars). The estimates show that in the last quarter century, the cost of drug development increased more than six times.

Now folks there's a bit of history on epidemics and pandemics just over the past few years.  I've searched newspaper articles and such for these times and yet was not able to come up with any reason for the show of stupidity.. (and yes I'll stick to that term until proven wrong)....that I have observed during this fiasco.  Yep , another term that I will stick to since history has show there have been worse epidemics and pandemics and less HYPE.  

Reinventing America..The New America As Envisioned By The Left

The New America would replace "barbarism" of unrestricted  individual freedom and enterprise with the "sophistication" of state collectivism. Social planners would mold society according to their will and not the will of the people.

Equality is the operational principle, the mantra, if you will. With religious fervor, They pursue economic and social uniformity.  They are determined to make the unequal equal even if that necessitates individual surrender and subordination to the state, resulting in a kinder, gentler form of tyranny...aka SOCIALISM. 

But tyranny only tells part of the story as new Americans will now live in a radically new America.  The great America, Christian experiment in freedom and liberty for all has silently become and oppressive socialist regime of repressive rules, regulations and burdensome taxation without suitable representation. America is on the verge of a complete socialist takeover. Capitalism, the economic engine of America's past prosperity is wounded and destined to die. Corporations and banks will be nationalized, life savings and retirement accounts wiped out. This is not with out design, for humanist strategist and their Leftist allies in government seem determined to destroy not only capitalism but every form and fabric of the old America.  Freedom itself is under attack . Property rights and gun ownership are in their sights,for reason. 

The Left would have all of us unarmed and unable to take up arms to resist a tyrannical government--theirs---when all the pieces are in place and they demand full compliance from the populace. 

An extension of this concept of personal disarmament, liberals would have the new America itself militarily compromised if not downright defenseless. 

The new America is bankrupt and on the verge of collapse, trillions in debt and more on the way if The Left gets it's way and raises the debt ceiling, which they  intend to do in order to pay for all the "FREEBIES" with or without Congress.
Leftist hasten the downward spiral with their massive welfare handouts, national and international giveaway programs, more spending, borrowing and printing until the presses melt.

The above is factual, not imagined. Just look at what has occurred  in 8 years of the last administration and listen to what the current batch of Socialist disguiswd as Democratic Socialist are saying.     Open any paper, listen to any news broadcast and all one hears are the Leftist calling for total gun control.  They call for MEDICARE for all... FREE EDUCATION for all .... More money to end CLIMATE CHANGE via the NEW GREEN DEAL .. which is the same as the old Green Deal ..... just more expensive.                                                                                                                                                                                                                     ".... America's sovereignty has been sacrificed for "global" citizenship. Her interest subsumed to the global regulatory architecture. Time after time they enact laws and rulings that are detrimental to America's health As if America is an eternal entity, no matter what, they willingly expose her to her enemies through unilateral disarmament, cuts in defense spending, weakening the CIA, allowing her enemies to own an unhealthy portion of our debt , our businesses, our properties and on an on."                                                                            These words in italics were written some 15 years ago and today we are seeing the reality of what was written.   It is no laughing matter as we stand on the verge of seeing this "New America" come to being and destroying the Republic.  We can sit idly by as it seems many have done over this period of time or we can STAND UP and tell these SOCIALIST LEFTIST to SIT DOWN...
