VICTORY

I want to take time to thank each of you who have read my blog, contributed by way of comments or perhaps just passed it along. I have enjoyed this year of blogging and have met a lot of great folks through these blogs. I have met only a handful of you but I feel as if I have known all of you for many years and I hope that we have become friends, friends who have never met but so be it. Perhaps one day we shall meet, if not here perhaps around His throne where we will be rejoice and be filled with praises for ever and ever.

I will be absent from this blog for sometime. How long I am not sure yet but it may be several weeks, I certainly hope not.

I will be entering the hospital and having surgery on Monday. I was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of cancer about three weeks or so ago but have chosen not to speak of it until now. I was standing in faith( and still am) that the cancer would be gone just as the lymphoma that I was diagnosed with in 2003 was healed by the Great Physician. This time no miracle has manifested yet and I perhaps must undergo the surgery with out divine intervention between now and Monday morning.

I trust that it this will be used as a witness for the Almighty and that His hand will be seen in and after the surgery. We, my family and I, are trusting in the Lord that the cancer will be removed and there will be no need for the radiation and chemo that usually follows this type of surgery and cancer. I ask that you stand in a prayer of agreement with us in this matter.

I have a very low immune system due to medication that I take for various complications, some from injuries received while in the military and for exposure to Agent Orange. This has increased the chance of complications, infection, pneumonia, and such to a very high risk level. The surgery will take about 5 hours or so they are telling me unless they run into something unexpected. I will covet your prayer during this time and prayers for my family that they may have the strength to stand regardless of the outcome. I will just continue to trust in the Lord and I know that I am in His hands and that He is in control of all things, great and small.

I will ask that someone from the family post the results on my blog and I will trust in Him that I will be re-joining you all in a matter of a short period of time.

I speak Blessings, Peace, Comfort and Joy over each of you and pray that God will keep all of you safe in His hands. For those who do not have a personal relationship with Him, I would hope that you will find it in your heart to turn to Him and put you trust and life in His hands.

Jesus said, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. The first thing necessary is to admit that you are a sinner, Second: believe that Jesus died for your sins, was buried and rose again and now sits on the right hand of the Father and Third: confess that He is Lord and King of your life. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

That is as easy as I can explain it. I call it as easy as ABC , Admit, Believe, Confess. By doing this if we should never meet here we will certainly meet in the here after.

God does work miracles every day and He always answers prayers. We will pray that whatever His answer to your prayers, that He will be there for you and your family, that He will give you strength and carry you through this terrible time.

Ticker... the grim reaper has been called away and is not expected to be back anytime soon.

Seriously I had a lung cancer diagnosis just slightly less than three years ago and faced surgery with the same faith that you exhibit. Like me, you too can beat that sob. I did and am doing it every day.

I'm sending you my prayers and if you need to talk to another cancer survivor for any reason at any time feel free to call. I'll send you my phone number by seperate. God Bless and go kick that cancer's butt.

In Jesus name!

My dear friend Mustang asked me to stop by here.

I'm glad that I have.

Sir, this life is often filled with many troubles. Certainly a persistent diagnosis of cancer is a trouble that many believers face.

As you know, the Lord is in control. He has His eye upon the sparrow; of course, he is looking after you as well. Whatever the outcome for you, the Lord will take care of you. We have the promise of John 14, too.

I've said a special prayer for you and your family. And I'll stop back by for updates.

I'm a little at a loss for words not having the same religious convictions I cannot rightfully call on Jesus or whatever. Just know my thoughts and best wishes are with you. Had a close call myself this year. It's not fun but I trust you have what it takes.

I was sent an e-mail by Faultline USA. Stay strong mate. Fight hard. My aunt was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer a couple of years back, the doctors gave up hope, but God in all his glory has healed her fully. Have faith and stay strong.

Ticker,

I, like many others, was sent to your Blog by your friend Mustang.

I have survived cancer and am surviving a half dozen other ailments -- some of them can be called terminal. But as believers in Christ we know our life is never terminal but Eternal.

As a believer in Jesus Christ alone as your Savior, you have the advantages of belonging to and being a child of the Creator of the Universe, the Savior of all who will trust in Him. He is the Great Physician, the Comforter and the best friend you will ever have.

We pray the Lord will guide your surgeon's hands and give you and your family complete and utter comfort.

We will check on your progress...

2 Corinthians 1:3-4
"Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; [4] Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God."

In Christ happily and eternally,

ExP(Jack)

Ticker, you've had many challenges in your life. I'm so sorry you must add this one to the list.

I want you to know that a female blogger who wants to remain anonymous is facing some very major cancer surgeries this week. She has suffered physically and emotionally, but today she read your post and this is what she said:

"He has so eloquently stated what I could not. Could you please, please, let him know I am in this fight with him, and praying for him as hard as I can. He appears to have the same pulmonary issues and immune system problems I am going through."

She was touched by your faith and your strong witness, as are all of us who read your work.

Listen friend, you know you will have many prayer warriors out here for you and your family. I'm praying God's wisdom for your surgeon's hands. My prayers will be ongoing.

Ticker,

Thank you for your testimony and witness. We are praying for you and your family. May the doctors, your treatment and your will rest in God's hands. If you are blessed to go before our Lord before us, may your heart be full of joy - good and faithful servant.

Yes, Victory is at hand, whether present in the flesh or absent with the Lord. God's Blessings always.

Dear Ticker, My prayers are with your family and you. Is it possible that you may be missing a blessing? After all, your operation is happening BEFORE Obama takes office. This way, he cannot mess up your insurance. Just a thought. ;)

On the more serious side, you are my friend. I have always considered you as such. You are an amazing man, and He is not done with you. There are many more people out in the Harvest Fields. There are fewer of us to go to there. Keep up the good fight, my friend.

May God guide all medical people's hands and duties, and may He be your blessed Physician. God bless your entire family and you today and always.

I want to thank you all for your prayers and encouraging words to my husband. I have to tell you that your loving and caring comments have brought tears to my eyes and joy to my heart. We are so touched by you all. My husband's faith is an inspiration to me. He has stood strong through all of this, never wavering in his trust and faith in God and never missing an opportunity to give witness to God's goodness and mercy. I can say whole-heartedly that God is not finished with this man! Thank you again for all of your prayers for Ticker and the family.
