More Barnyard Bovine Excrement

Last week we took a look of the BBE currently piling up in the barnyard of the Obama White House and DC. It appears that the Barnyard Bovine Excrement continues to get deeper and deeper as is reflected by this week’s nonsense. When the BBE gets about waist high, which will be over the heads of our Leftist acquaintances maybe they will realize that BBE doesn’t float. Unfortunately most of them will take another drink of the koolaide and re-assume their position. I am certain I overlooked a lot of the piles. Feel free bring us up to date with your discoveries in the comment .

When is a tax, not a tax? When Obama says so

Obama spent much of his ABC interview denying that his health care plan breaks his campaign promise not to raise taxes on the middle class. He insisted that requiring everyone to have health insurance, or face a fine of up to $3,800 per family, is "absolutely not a tax increase." Host George Stephanopoulos pressed Obama so much on the issue that, after Obama accused him of making things up, Stephanopoulos read the definition of "tax" from Merriam-Webster's dictionary. "George, the fact that you looked up [in] Merriam's dictionary the definition of ‘tax increase' indicates to me that you're stretching a little bit right now," Obama replied.

Obama insisted that the insurance requirement is not a tax.

"For us to say that you've got to take a responsibility to get health insurance is absolutely not a tax increase," the president said. "What it's saying is...that we're not going to have other people carrying your burdens for you anymore.

"Right now everybody in America, just about, has to get auto insurance," Obama added. "Nobody considers that a tax increase.

"You just can't make up that language and decide that that's called a tax increase," he added.

But a Democratic staff description of Sen. Max Baucus' bill calls the proposed fines an "excise tax." Penalties of up to $950 for individuals and $3,800 for families would be imposed on those who don't get coverage. Sen. Kent Conrad, D-N.D., said Monday he expects the family penalty to be slashed in half to $1,900.

The House bill uses a complex formula to calculate the penalties, calling them a "tax on individuals without acceptable health care coverage."

REMEMBER BUSH 1 and NO NEW TAXES, IT’S NOW OBAMA AND NO NEW TAXES.

It wouldn't be the first asterisk added to Obama's campaign pledge on taxes. Earlier this year, he signed a tobacco tax increase to pay for children's health insurance. Even that can be read as a violation of his expansive campaign promise.

"I can make a firm pledge," he said in Dover, N.H., on Sept. 12, 2008. "Under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes."

He repeatedly promised "you will not see any of your taxes increase one single dime."

With any luck Obummer will suffer the same fate as Bush I.

ILLEGALS WILL NOT BE COVERED UNDER MY HEALTH CARE PLAN.

Democrats have the audacity to tell us to our faces that national health care won't cover illegals. Not only that, but they tell us we must not be able to read if we think it does. ... [S]ection [246 of the bill], which liberals keep brandishing like a DNA-stained dress, states: 'Nothing in this subtitle shall allow federal payments for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States.' In other words, illegal aliens are excluded from precisely one section of the thousand-page, goodie-laden health care bill: Section 246, which distributes taxpayer-funded 'affordability credits' to people who can't afford to pay for their own health care. Even this minor restriction on taxpayer largesse to illegals will immediately be overturned by the courts. But the point is: Except for vouchers, the bill does not even pretend to exclude illegals from any part of national health care -- including the taxpayer-funded health insurance plan.

Post Office Eefficient as ObamaCare?

It wasn't long ago that Barack Obama was using the United States Postal Service as a shining example for how ObamaCare's "public option" would affect the competition. The Postal Service, Obama argued, hadn't driven its competitors out of business and neither would ObamaCare. In fact, he argued, it was the Postal Service -- and not FedEx or UPS -- that was having all the problems. Fast forward a couple of months, and Congress is considering a USPS bailout as part of a stopgap spending bill scheduled to come before Congress in the next week. According to David Rogers at Politico, it "would be allowed to defer $4 billion in payments due at the end of this month to cover retirement benefits for its employees." The deferment could last until 2017. It's no wonder Obama has shifted to comparing the public option to public universities. Then again, in California, college tuition is skyrocketing this year by 32 percent due to the state's crushing budget deficits. Looks like it's back to the drawing board, Barack! Obama: ACORN? What's that?

Last week “the One said”: "Frankly, it's not really something I've followed closely," Obama said. "I didn't even know that ACORN was getting a whole lot of federal money."

We would also like to recall, but the left would like for us to forget that Obama actually worked with ACORN in the early 1990's on Project Vote Smart. He used ACORN foot soldiers in his campaigns for the state senate, recruiting them through his ties with the Maoist New Party in Chicago. And just last year, he used one of their phony front organizations to channel $800,000 to the group for GOTV operations.

Obama 'skeptical' about more troops

I will focus this strategy on five goals essential to making America safer: ending the war in Iraq responsibly; finishing the fight against al Qaeda and the Taliban; securing all nuclear weapons and materials from terrorists and rogue states; achieving true energy security; and rebuilding our alliances to meet the challenges of the 21st century.

April 16, 2008, Obama said, "Now, I will always listen to our commanders on the ground with respect to tactics.

During the second Presidential debate on october 7th 2008, Obama said: We will kill bin Laden. We will crush al Qaeda. That has to be our biggest national security priority.\"

On January 17th 2009, in an interview with Katie Couric (CBS) Obama changed his position on Killing Osama saying: \"My preference obviously would be to capture or kill him\" he said. \"But if we have so tightened the noose that he\'s in a cave somewhere and can\'t even communicate with his operatives then we will meet our goal of protecting America.\"

From Hillary who hates the military about as bad as Obummer: "But I can only tell you there are other assessments from very expert military analysts who have worked in counter-insurgencies that are the exact opposite," she said.

I don?t think anybody is going to push to a conclusion for the sake of a conclusion."She added: "So we have to be really clear-eyed about this. And what I’m very grateful for is that we’re not coming in with any ideological presuppositions."

Hope 'n' Change in Fiscal News

"President Obama's welfare spending will reach $888 billion in a single fiscal year -- 2010 -- more than the Bush administration spent on [the] war in Iraq from the first 'shock and awe' attack in 2003 until Bush left office in January." During the campaign, of course, Obama used the federal debt as a bludgeoning tool against his opponent. "Because of the Bush-McCain policies, our debt has ballooned," Obama warned in March 2008. "This is creating problems in our fragile economy. And that kind of debt also places an unfair burden on our children and grandchildren, who will have to repay it."

"President Obama's budget will likely produce $13 trillion in deficit spending over the next 10 years -- nearly $4 trillion more than forecast." That's about 10 times Bush's last deficit.

Obama also complained about the cost of Iraq -- "When Iraq is costing each household about $100 a month, you're paying a price for this war" -- but this doesn't compute either. As another report indicates, "Applying that same standard to means-tested welfare spending reveals that welfare will cost each household $560 per month in 2009 and $638 per month in 2010." Witness liberal "compassion."

Terrorist Sing His Praise

"I congratulate our son the president, 'Obama' ... and commend him because he is the [leader of the] host country. ... We are content and happy if Obama can stay forever as the president of the United States of America... The American presidents used to say to us, they shall terrorize us.... What our son Obama said is completely different today." --Libyan dictator Moammar Gadhafi, yet another Obama ally he probably wishes would hold his tongue (Hattip Patriot Post)

As do the children of this school ( kind of like Germany 1938-45) as they sing his praises:

Obama Loves the Little Children……

A video recently posted on YouTube shows a class at B. Bernice Young Elementary School in Burlington, New Jersey, learning to sing the praises of Barack Obama. The kids laud his "great accomplishments" and his "great plans" to "make this country's economy number one again." The song also quotes from the children's spiritual "Jesus Loves the Little Children" -- except Jesus' name is replaced with Obama's: "He said red, yellow, black or white/All are equal in his sight. Barack Hussein Obama." Oddly enough, children in public schools can't sing the actual song "Jesus Loves the Little Children" for fear of the ACLU. It must first be adulterated with the name of a cult leader. And liberals couldn't understand why so many parents didn't want their children subjected to the speech The One gave to schools earlier this month.

We are soon going to need a tractor to clean up the barnyard. We need to get started today, 2010 and 2012 will be too late. Make your “elected representative’s aware and tell them to start shoveling before the Barnyard Bovine Excrement covers this country.

One old saw goes like this: you can tell when a lawyer is lying because his lips are moving. It is not a mere coincidence that lawyers infest the congress like cockroaches in a New York City deli (although I do beg the pardon of cockroaches for this analogy).

We ought to wonder, “Why do these servants of the people continually lie to the American people?”

Probably because elected officials know us better than we know ourselves. They know, for example, that the average American has the memory of a gnat. This means that like a bunch of two-year-olds in the developmental process, we remember the last thing we heard and nothing beyond that.

In this sense, we deserve exactly what has happened to us. At this point in the monologue, let’s all give a rich applause to public (socialist) education, and to borrow a phrase from Mr. Bush II: Mission Accomplished.
