A Christmas Story

We are fast approaching Christmas, the day we celebrate as the birthday of our Lord, Jesus Christ.  Of course many do not share these beliefs and there are many who do not understand the true meaning of this special season.

As for me, I have always been intrigued with children's versions of Christmas and wish to share one such that I recently read in the Rock Springs Church bulletin.

A little boy came home from Sunday School and was all excited about learning about the Wise Men who brought gifts to the baby Jesus.  He couldn’t wait to tell his Mother.  “Momma, guess what I learned in Sunday School today about the first Christmas?  There wasn’t a Santa Claus way back then so these three fellows on camels had to deliver all the toys. And ‘Rudolph  the Red Nosed Reindeer with his nose so bright’  wasn’t there so they had to have this big spotlight in the sky to find their way around.  Wow, ain’t that something Momma?”

I hope you have enjoyed this version of a child's view of Christmas.  If you have any such stories please feel free to share them with all the readers. I am sure they will enjoy them as much as I will.

Until then, keep shopping but don’t forget the real reason for the season.  I’ll have more on that subject closer to Christmas day.

Yep Chuck, We need more folks like Inhofe in government. I know that Congressman Burgess of Texas feels the same and Johnny Isakson, in Ga is in agreement. I will get to vote for the Ga senator next time but until then I cast my vote for the folks in Texas. A couple I had to hold my nose to do so.They may claim to be conservatives but they ain't Constitutionalists.

well, heck, you guys....only 85% of Americans still profess to be Christian, so you can't really blame the parade organizers now, CAN you? They don't want to tick off the other 15%, right? :-) (grrrrrrrr!) (Sarcasm here, of course)
What IS this "tyranny of the minority" which I believe defines PC very aptly!
"Gee, a HOLIDAY with Santa, in December, and with RED AND GREEN decorations? Let's call it a HOLIDAY PARADE!" WHAT ARE THEY THINKING?! :-)

Cute story there, ticker....all we need's the stork bringing the baby in and the child's got it covered!!

I am sure there is a story somewhere by some young child that includes the stork. Ain't kids great?

In Asheville, NC Santa wore Black this year. Now ain't that sumpthin? of course they claim to be the "city of diversity", more like the San Francisco of the east.
I lived in that god forsaken pit for a few years and have never been so glad to get out of a place in my life. I can imagine how good folks living in Sodom and Gomorrah must have felt.
