I wonder how many of the Obamazombies, who believe that the WH is Obama’s, remember the 68 and 72 conventions and one Sen. George McGovern? I suggest they read some history. In 68,McGovern had the nomination pretty much sewed up after Robert Kennedy’s death and lost big time at the convention. He then lost the presidential bid in 72. The worst defeat experienced by the Democrats in recent history.

In short, Obama intends to betray not just his own basic commitments, but the historical foundations of the Democratic Party going back to Franklin D. Roosevelt. The modern Democratic Party was built on the New Deal Democrats, a party of shared responsibility, and a contract to be the voice and champion of working class Americans.
Obama’s “new coalition” dismantles the REAL Democratic Party and replaces it with an elite party of Neo-Liberals, stealing the mantle of FDR.
Prediction:
The next 100 or so days will tell the tale but my take on this is that Obama and the Obamazombies are in for a rude awakening in November.

I hope and pray that your prediction is correct.
I sense, however, that the true believers will just ignore his move to center and have a deep faith that he will , if elected , govern from the left. Where else do they have to go ?

Maggie, not only that but what about the 13th Amendment that did away with forced servitude, otherwise known to those in victimology 101 as slavery.

For those who don’t remember, the 13th Amendment says: ‘Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime... shall exist within the United States.’ In Obama’s mind it must be a crime to be born or to attend college. In his speech on national service... at the University of Colorado, Obama promised that as president he would ‘set a goal for all American middle and high school students to perform 50 hours of service a year, and for all college students to perform 100 hours of service a year.’ He would see that these goals are met by, among other things, attaching strings to federal education dollars. If you don’t make kids report for duty, he’s essentially telling schools and college kids, you’ll lose money you can’t afford to lose. In short, he’ll make service compulsory by merely compelling schools to make it compulsory.
