When all else fails…..

When all else fails….. either lie better or change lies. Seems this is what “the ONE” is doing today.

Confronting misgivings, even in his own party, President Barack Obama mounted a stout defense of his blueprint to overhaul the economy Thursday, declaring the national crisis is "not as bad as we think" and his plans will speed recovery.

"A smidgen of good news and suddenly everything is doing great. A little bit of bad news and ooohh , we're down on the dumps," Obama said. "And I am obviously an object of this constantly varying assessment. I am the object in chief of this varying assessment."

Well for certain there is one thing we can agree on , he has a different story for every occasion just as he did when he was running for office. Unfortunately campaigning is all he evidently knows how to do because so far everything he has tried has failed. Since his election and taking office the economy of the country has been on a downhill slide faster than anything I can remember seeing in my life time including the economic fiasco of Jimmy Carter .

The Chief Occupier is now saying, things are not as bad as we think but just a few days, weeks and a few months ago he was saying just the opposite and nothing, absolutely nothing reflects any change unless you wish to count the fact that Citicorp made a profit for two months. It is probably on this that he is basing his statements and wishing to take the credit for it happening but nothing he has done in regard to Citicorp has had time to take effect. The recovery of Citicorp started before “The One” took office, so that dog won’t hunt at all.

He has been the spokesman for DOOM AND GLOOM and now suddenly he expects folks to believe that all is better than what he was saying just last week , last month and before that. Only those who are still intoxicated on “the One’s” kool aide would believe that. Of course there are many who are in that condition and others who are still drinking at “the One’s” kool aide fountain.

"I don't think things are ever as good as they say, or ever as bad as they say,"

Oh really, that is not what you have been saying since day one! Let’s just see what you have been saying and now you expect us to believe another fairy tale. Which is it? You can’t have it both ways in the real world, but then you have never lived in the real world have you Mr. Occupier?

"We are in the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression,

"We are facing an economic crisis of historic proportions."

During this period of economic emergency, families are tightening their belts,

I don't think that any economist disputes that we're in the worst economic crisis since the great depression

There is a devastating economic crisis that will become more and more difficult to contain with time. For the sake of our economy and our people, this is the moment to act, and to act without delay.

We start this new year in the midst of an economic crisis unlike we have seen in our lifetime."

You don't need to hear another list of statistics to know that our economy is in crisis, because you live it every day. The impact of this recession is real, and it is everywhere.
But while our economy may be weakened and our confidence shaken, though we are living through difficult and uncertain times
This is a responsibility that's fallen to our generation. Meeting it will require steering our nation's economy through a crisis unlike anything that we have seen in our time.

"Instead of having a set of policies that are equipping people for the globalization of the economy, we have policies that are accelerating the most destructive trends of the global economy."

The last statement of course is his agenda, not the recovery of the US. He would destroy the economy of the US to insure the global economy for that is the way his handler , George Soros , wants it.

The Zombies have been put on alert since the poll was not going to suit MSNBC and the numbers are changing rapidly since yesterday. What ya want to bet MSNBC leaves it up until they get the results they want?
After all Chris, tingle in my leg, Matthews says it is their job to see that the Bumbler does well. LOL

Ah, but the Lefty Usual Suspects think it's a Vast Right Wing Conspiracy designed to make Mr Perfect look less so.

As if he needed any help in doing that to himself.....

I agree that Obama talks out of both sides of his mouth -- but so does nearly any politician who has actually been elected in recent memory, as they must do to get their party’s nomination and the popular vote. Honest people no longer are “allowed” to hold office; only those who have graduated from “liar’s academy” are permitted.

Regarding the President's last quoted statement, I think that the last thing we need is to further "globalize" the American economy. IMHO, that is largely what has got us in the position which we suffer today.

We need to bring THE MEANS OF PRODUCTION back to these shores so that the much-ballyhooed "law of supply and demand" which no longer seems to mean jack might actually have a chance to work in American consumers' favor -- along with our now-unenforceable antitrust legislation.

As I stated on another forum recently, the best thing we could do for our economy is to get the hell out of UN, CAFTA, NAFTA, OPEC and WTO -- and do it yesterday!

Especially the UN Jeff for that is where the Global nonsense comes from and that is where he is leading.

It is impossible to have confidence in the wisdom of the American people when a majority judge Obama the best man to serve as president. It is impossible to have confidence in the GOP when McCain is their best contender. Most Americans seem incapable of perceiving the long-term consequences of what they’ve done—and it is hardly comforting to note, they did it to themselves. And if the Democrats retain the Congress in 2010, I will probably never vote again. My friend who blogs at Political Yen and Yang has it right: we should vote every incumbent out of office; we cannot possibly be worse off than we are now.
