And The Beat (ing) Goes On -- Part 14

Find a Boogie Man which of course is the way to take the attention off of the party where the real fault lies (Obama and company). The general public has been so brainwashed into believing that the Big Bad Oil Companies are always to blame for high prices that this makes this one easy:

"I asked my attorney general to look into any cases of price gouging so he can make sure nobody's being taken advantage of at the pump. Today I'm gonna go a step further. The attorney general's putting together a team whose job it is to root out any cases of fraud or manipulation in the oil markets that might affect gas prices, and that includes the role of traders and speculators. We're gonna make sure that nobody's taking advantage of American consumers for their own short-term gain." --Barack Obama

And this is how the administration handled the situation!

"So, if Obama's numbers are gas-tanking, the political/policy czars in the White House need to find someone to blame, and fast. The President has announced the formation of yet another task force, this one in the Department of Justice to look for fraud and illegal manipulation of gasoline prices." --political analyst Rich Galen

"Just how dire is the crisis over the $14,294,000,000,000 debt ceiling, which America will hit on about May 16? So dire that President Obama spent much of last week traipsing across the West collecting campaign cash (and hit the golf course for Round No. 65 on Saturday). So dire that Congress headed off on a two-week vacation (and Sen. Harry Reid jetted off to China on a 10-day junket with nine colleagues, costing taxpayers millions)." --former White House correspondent Joseph Curl

And the decision was based on what?

Poll driven policy: "Now to those climbing gas prices. They are taking a toll on so many of you and any anger you feel about it is likely to rise this week when oil companies report what are expected to be record profits. ... [T]hese gas prices are also knocking down President Obama's poll numbers, which is why he's out there nearly every day addressing this problem." --ABCs George Stephanopoulos (It's nice to have a president who advocates "change" based on poll numbers.)

Now, what is Obama's plan?

First comes: Class warfare: "I believe that we can't ask everybody to sacrifice and then tell the wealthiest among us, well, you can just relax and go count your money, and don't worry about it. We're not going to ask anything of you." --Barack Obama

Next on the list rewrite history and claim that Government spending made America great. "I will not reduce our deficit by sacrificing the things that have always made America great. The things that have made Americans prosper. I won't sacrifice our investments in education. I will not sacrifice those. I won't sacrifice our investments in science and basic research. I won't sacrifice the safety of our highways or our airports. I won't sacrifice our investment in clean energy at a time when our dependence on foreign oil is causing Americans so much pain at the pump. I will not sacrifice America's future. That I will not do." --Barack Obama

So in summation Obama's plan is to do nothing as described in his own words, "I will not reduce our deficit..."

Now just for laughs here are comments from the  Village Idiots:

Blame Republicans for Obama's poll numbers: "People are a little disappointed in the president because he hasn't been able to change the way Washington works at all. Indeed, Congress is even more poorly regarded. Everybody wanted a bigger deal than was done on the last budget go-around. And so in an odd way the fact that the Republicans and Congress are so poorly regarded, that the whole system is so poorly regarded, drags everybody down, including the president." --Huffington Post's Howard Fineman

Spin: "You know, the president went to church yesterday. It was well covered. I'm not sure if we put out a statement or not." --White House Press Secretary Jay Carney attempting to spin away the fact that Obama has never once followed the presidential custom of issuing an official Easter proclamation, though he sure didn't miss Earth Day

Belly laugh of the week: "Our policy has been and will always be, as long as I will be in office, that a strong dollar is in the interest of the country. We will never embrace a strategy to weaken the dollar."  --Treasury Secretary Tim "Turbo Tax" Geithner

The BIG BIGGEST lie: "With Congress on recess, town hall events across the country are again lighting up with anger and frustration, but this time it is about the official Republican Party budget plan. The Paul Ryan budget plan, which drastically cuts taxes for the richest Americans back to what they were in the 1930s. It drastically cuts taxes for corporations. It gives billions of dollars in tax breaks to oil companies, those poor, orphaned, hard-luck oil companies. And it also, incidentally, ends Medicare, it repeals Medicare. It turns Medicare instead into a coupon system and it makes senior citizens buy private health insurance." --MSNBC's Rachel Maddow

Thanks to  The Patriot Post for the above comments. Keep the folks at the Patriot Post in your prayers as they were hit very hard by the storms and tornadoes on Wednesday night that swept through East Tennessee and much of the south.

And the Beat(ing) Goes On-- Part 13

White House releases Obama birth certificate

Question is... Is it real?  There is no seal on the birth certificate nor on the signature dated April 2011 of the individual supposedly certifying that it is a true copy. Check out the PDF and read the entire article to see for yourself.

My birth certificate has a seal on it (bet yours does too) and the copy of my daughters has a seal of the original filing and one stating that the copy it is a true and certified copy.  Of course the Obamabots will buy it and say it's all good. Most of them of course have never seen their own birth certificate so how would they know what one looks like?

Meanwhile the "Liar in Chief" continues his smoke and mirrors games on the budget, fuel prices, which he says the government has no control over but they suddenly went down in 08 when it was announced that drilling permits had been issued, and of course the events in Libya.  His life in the land of make believe is all good and he has no intentions of leaving his own little paradise.

And the beat(ing) goes on.

Sunday Music Time in Celebration of Easter

With this being Easter Weekend I am publishing this post early. Please take time to read the entire message in this post as you listen to the song by the Gaither's called The King Is Coming. This could be the most important message that you have read. Certainly with the truth proclaimed from Isaiah telling of His birth, death and resurrection some four hundred years before it occurred and then the promise of His return as recorded through the New Testament can there be any doubt that His Word is true?  In deed The King is Coming!

The King is Coming is in my opinion an appropriate song for this season even though it is not one used in the traditional churches.    If He is not returning,  then there is no hope but I submit to you that there is not only hope but indeed a promise that He will come again just as He arose.  Rejoice for He is Risen and Rejoice for He is Coming Again.

Four hundred years before the birth of Jesus, the Prophet Isaiah foretold of his coming. This of course was just the beginning as we know. He came to earth, born of a virgin, grew into manhood just as foretold.

Isaiah 9

6 For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
      Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
      Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of His government and peace
      There will be no end,
Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom,
To order it and establish it with judgment and justice
From that time forward, even forever.

The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

The second part of the story was foretold by this same prophet in Isaiah 53 which reads as follows.

Isaiah 53

1 Who has believed our report?
And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?
2 For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant,
And as a root out of dry ground.
      He has no form or comeliness;
      And when we see Him,
There is no beauty that we should desire Him.
3 He is despised and rejected by men,
A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.
      And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him;
He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.
4 Surely He has borne our griefs
      And carried our sorrows;
      Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
      Smitten by God, and afflicted.
5 But He was wounded for our transgressions,
      He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.
       6 All we like sheep have gone astray;
      We have turned, every one, to his own way;
And the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
7 He was oppressed and He was afflicted,
      Yet He opened not His mouth;
He was led as a lamb to the slaughter,
And as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
So He opened not His mouth.
8 He was taken from prison and from judgment,
And who will declare His generation?
      For He was cut off from the land of the living;
For the transgressions of My people He was stricken.
9 And they made His grave with the wicked—
But with the rich at His death,
Because He had done no violence,
Nor was any deceit in His mouth.
       10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise Him;
He has put Him to grief.
When You make His soul an offering for sin,
He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days,
And the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in His hand.
11 He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied.
By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many,
For He shall bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great,
And He shall divide the spoil with the strong,
Because He poured out His soul unto death,
And He was numbered with the transgressors,
And He bore the sin of many,
And made intercession for the transgressors.

As you can read, each and every thing foretold by Isaiah came to pass and we can find evidence of this in Matthew 27:

11 Now Jesus stood before the governor. And the governor asked Him, saying, “Are You the King of the Jews?”
Jesus said to him, “It is as you say.” 12 And while He was being accused by the chief priests and elders, He answered nothing.
13 Then Pilate said to Him, “Do You not hear how many things they testify against You?” 14But He answered him not one word, so that the governor marveled greatly.

27 Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the Praetorium and gathered the whole garrison around Him. 28 And they stripped Him and put a scarlet robe on Him. 29 When they had twisted a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand. And they bowed the knee before Him and mocked Him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!” 30 Then they spat on Him, and took the reed and struck Him on the head. 31 And when they had mocked Him, they took the robe off Him, put His own clothes on Him, and led Him away to be crucified.

35 Then they crucified Him, and divided His garments, casting lots, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet:

“ They divided My garments among them,
And for My clothing they cast lots

45 Now from the sixth hour until the ninth hour there was darkness over all the land. 46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”
47 Some of those who stood there, when they heard that, said, “This Man is calling for Elijah!” 48 Immediately one of them ran and took a sponge, filled it with sour wine and put it on a reed, and offered it to Him to drink.
49 The rest said, “Let Him alone; let us see if Elijah will come to save Him.”
50 And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit.
51 Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split, 52 and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; 53 and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.
54 So when the centurion and those with him, who were guarding Jesus, saw the earthquake and the things that had happened, they feared greatly, saying, “Truly this was the Son of God!”

57 Now when evening had come, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who himself had also become a disciple of Jesus. 58 This man went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be given to him. 59 When Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, 60 and laid it in his new tomb which he had hewn out of the rock; and he rolled a large stone against the door of the tomb, and departed.

The next segment is why we join in celebration of this day we call Easter:

1 Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb. 2 And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it. 3 His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow. 4 And the guards shook for fear of him, and became like dead men.
5 But the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. 6 He is not here; for He is risen,

This is not the end of the story but only the beginning for Jesus himself foretold of his return and on that day the Rejoicing will be even greater than that of that first Easter.

The King is Coming is an appropriate song for this season even though it is not one used in the traditional churches.  For indeed, if He is not returning,  then there is no hope. But we certainly have that promise

Matthew 27 26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.”
27 Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. 28 For this is My blood of the new[ covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. 29 But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom.”

Again in John 14 Jesus states:

1Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

So indeed He is Coming again. The question is, Is he coming for you?

Drinking From My Saucer-- Michael Combs
  I've Never Made A Fortune
and It's Probably Too Late Now
but I Don't Worry About That Much
i'm Happy Anyhow
and As I Go Along Life's Journey
i'm Reaping Better Than I Sow
i'm Drinking From My Saucer
'cause My Cup Has Overflowed

haven't Got A Lot Of Riches
and Sometimes The Going's Tough
but I've Got Loving Ones Around Me
and That Makes Me Rich Enough
i Thank God For His Blessings
and The Mercies He's Bestowed
i'm Drinking From My Saucer
'cause My Cup Has Overflowed

o, Remember Times When Things
went Wrong
my Faith Wore Somewhat Thin
but All At Once The Dark Clouds Broke
and Sun Peeped Through Again
so Lord, Help Me Not To Gripe
about The Tough Rows That I've Hoed
i'm Drinking From My Saucer
"cause My Cup Has Overflowed

if God Gives Me Strength And Courage
when The Way Grows Steep And Rough
i'll Not Ask For Other Blessings
i'm Already Blessed Enough
and May I Never Be Too Busy
to Help Others Bear Their Loads
then I'll Keep Drinking From My Saucer
"cause My Cup Has Overflowed!"
Hattip to my old friend and classmate Gary Long  Thanks for the link Gary and the suggestion to put this on Sunday Music Time.  Hope you enjoy.

And The Beat (ing) Goes On Part 12

Since Democrats took over Congress in 2007, the annual federal budget deficit has quadrupled. Democrats continue to talk about fiscal austerity, but if left to them, these gargantuan deficits would continue for years to come. In February 2010, Barack Obama made a farce of creating a bipartisan debt commission and tasking it to make recommendations for reining in federal spending. The commission did so in December ... and he promptly ignored them, introducing a 2012 budget that included none of its recommendations and continues to drive spending through the roof.

Given his recent "campaign speeches" it is fully evident that Obama is not interested in lowering the deficit, the national debt by any spending cuts. His only intent is to continue on the road of income redistribution.

Obama proposed raising taxes by $1 trillion on the top two brackets over the next 12 years -- and not just directly raising rates, but eliminating deductions, too. "I believe that most wealthy Americans would agree with me," he said. "They want to give back to the country that's done so much for them. Washington just hasn't asked them to." As far as we know, Uncle Sam is always willing to take an extra check if one's conscience is so burdened.
This folks is income redistribution at it's best worst.

My fellow Patriots and Conservatives, The Beat(ing) Goes On! Have you notified you representative that "enough is enough" and let them know that nothing less than the total package proposed by the Conservatives recently elected will do.  Remind then if they can't get the job done then they can and willll be replaced in 2012.

And The Beat (ing) Goes On Part 11

According toCNSNews.com , the federal debt increased $54.1 billion in the eight days preceding the deal made by President Barack Obama, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D.-Nev.) and House Speaker John Boehner (R.-Ohio) to cut $38.5 billion in federal spending for the remainder of fiscal year 2011, which runs through September.
The debt was $14.2101 trillion on March 30, according to the Bureau of the Public Debt, and $14.2642 on April 7.
Since the beginning of the fiscal year on Oct. 1, 2010,(Date the Left failed to present a budget) the national debt has increased by $653.4 billion.

Obama's plan?  Obama will acknowledge a need to reduce spending on Medicare and Medicaid( but do nothing about it)  while at the same time tackling defense spending(look for massive cuts since that is the Left's favorite whipping boy) and calling for increased taxes on the wealthy,(Is there an echo in there from the past 12 years?) White House officials said.

Be assured that cuts in spending on the Lefts favorite programs will not be included in Obama's plan.

Question is, will the Beat(ing) end in 2012 or where does it go from there?

And The Beat (ing) Goes On Part 10

WE DON'T HAVE A TAX PROBLEM.....

  WE HAVE A SPENDING PROBLEM!

The Treasury Department quietly mentioned that last month the government spent 8.2 times its net revenue. Need I say more?

Meanwhile the "Campaigner in Chief" is off on the campaign trail...spending more or your tax money to get himself elected again in 2012.

And The Beat (ing) Goes On Part 9

GeeeZ asked the question over on her blog if Obama could win in 2012.  A lot of folks think he will . Dr. Walter Williams thinks so as well. This is what he has to say on the subject and frankly he lays out a good argument for why Obama will win a second term. Yes, the country is finished if he does but nevertheless the possibilities are very strong.

From Walter Williams:

Can President Obama be defeated in
2012?  No.  He cant.    I am going on record
as saying that President Barak Obama will win a
second term.  The media wont tell you this
because a good election campaign means hundreds
of millions (or in Obamas case billions) of
dollars to them in advertising.  But the truth
is, there simply are no conditions under which
Barak Obama can be defeated in 2012.

The quality of the Republican candidate
doesnt matter.  Obama gets reelected.  Nine
percent unemployment?  No problem.  Obama will
win.  Gas prices moving toward five dollars a
gallon?  He still wins.  The economy soars or
goes into the gutter.  Obama wins.  War in the
Middle East?  He wins a second
term.  Americas role as the leading
Superpower disappears?  Hurrah for Barak
Obama!  The U.S. government rushes toward
bankruptcy, the dollar continues to sink on
world markets and the price of daily goods and
services soars due to inflation fueled by
Obamas extraordinary deficit spending?  Obama wins handily.

You are crazy Williams.  Don.t you understand
how volatile politics can be when overall
economic, government, and world conditions are
declining?  Sure I do.  And thats why I know
Obama will win.  The American people are
notoriously ignorant of economics.  And
economics is the key to why Obama should be
defeated.  Even when Obams policies lead the
nation to final ruin, the majority of the
American people are going to believe the
bait-and-switch tactics Obama and his supporters
in the media will use to explain why it is not
his fault.  After all, things were much worse
than understood when he took office.

Obamas reelection is really a very, very
simple math problem.  Consider the
following:  1) Blacks will vote for Obama
blindly.  Period.  Does not matter what he
does.  Its a race thing.  Hes one of
us,  2) College educated women will vote for
Obama.  Though they will be offended by this,
they swoon at his oratory.  Its really not
more complex than that, 3) Liberals will vote
for Obama.  He is their great hope,  4)
Democrats will vote for Obama.  He is the leader
of their party and his coattails will carry them
to victory nationwide,  5) Hispanics will vote
for Obama.  He is the path to citizenship for
those who are illegal and Hispanic leaders
recognize the political clout they carry in the
Democratic Party, 6) Union members will vote
overwhelmingly for Obama.  He is their key to
money and power in business, state and local
politics, 7) Big Business will support
Obama.  They already have.  He has almost $1
Billion dollars
in his reelection purse gained
largely from his connections with Big Business
and is gaining more everyday.  Big Business
loves Obama because he gives them access to
taxpayer money so long as they support his
social and political agenda, 8) The media love
him.  They may attack the people who work for
him, but they love him.  After all, to not love
him would be racist, 9) Most other minorities
and special interest groups will vote for
him.  Oddly, the overwhelming majority of Jews
and Muslims will support him because they
wont vote Republican.  American Indians will
support him.  Obviously homosexuals tend to vote
Democratic.  And lastly, 10) Approximately half
of independents will vote for Obama.  And he
doesnt need anywhere near that number because
he has all of the groups previously
mentioned.  The President will win an
overwhelming victory in 2012.   --  Dr. Walter Williams

And The Beat (ing) Goes On Part 8

Thanks to GM This is exactly the bumper sticker that all of us should be displaying.

The "idiot in chief "declared his intent to run for a second term.

At least we don't have to worry about him screwing up too much more since he will be
"campaigning" full time.  Then again maybe we should worry since he has done nothing else for the past two years and you can see the mess he has created.
Campaigning is more important than a budget, which he failed to present or get passed last  year. Campaigning is more important than the fools in the ME who want nothing more than to kill us and destroy this country. OOPS, I forgot that is part of Obama's plan. Campaigning is more important than gasoline prices climbing daily. Campaigning is more important than vacationing..... Nope, got that one wrong. Look for more vacations at your expense which will actually be campaign stops.  Will Wisconsin be one of the first stops to congratulate the union thugs? And let's not forget the  cowardly democrats who ran away and failed to do their job.

What more BS can this empty suit come up with?  Stay tuned folks, it's really going to get interesting.

LEAN ON ME  Bill Withers, 1972

The song Lean On Me has never been considered a gospel nor a church song but in many ways it should be.  The lyrics, which are included, offer many truths about needing someone to lean on.
The Psalmist David  understood the need for someone to lean on and offered several verses saying that he, even though a mighty man and a king, would lean on the Lord God Almighty.

Psalm 13:5 Amplified Bible
But I have trusted, leaned on, and been confident in Your mercy and loving-kindness; my heart shall rejoice and be in high spirits in Your salvation.

Psalm 9:9-11 (Amplified Bible)
The Lord also will be a refuge and a high tower for the oppressed, a refuge and a stronghold in times of trouble (high cost, destitution, and desperation).
10 And they who know Your name [who have experience and acquaintance with Your mercy] will lean on and confidently put their trust in You, for You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek (inquire of and for) You [on the authority of God's Word and the right of their necessity].

Psalm 143:8 Amplified Bible
Cause me to hear Your loving-kindness in the morning, for on You do I lean and in You do I trust. Cause me to know the way wherein I should walk, for I lift up my inner self to You.

Perhaps from the words of this song by Bill Withers, written in 1972,  and from the words of David in the Psalms you can find "a friend" that you can lean on no matter what the circumstances, 'cause we all need somebody to lean on.   I know that for the past several weeks I certainly have and I know that He can be the trusted Friend to Lean On.

In Matthew 11: 28  He invites us to lean on Him.
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
