Silly Song Saturday

Bet a lot of you can remember this one, well at least a few of you, uh, maybe one or two?

I remember it well from 1956 however I think it received some airtime play later in the 50's.
Perhaps my old friend PJ the DJ can shed some light on the matter.  PJ had the "Tower in the Sky" back in the days. I believe the place , now long gone, was called the BBQ King, located on the Johnson City/Kingsport Hwy(that's in TN folks). Buy a coke or a burger, anything and write your request on the back of the order slip and he would play it.  I can here him now as I cruised in my lil 53 Chevy!

Those days are gone, but I remember them well!  How about you?

Actually, as much as it pains me to reject credit (or some of it), it was Wayne Sparks who ran the WJCW "Tower in the Sky" during the week and I had the Coca Cola High Fi Club on Saturday nights. During the week, on school nights, when not working at the Majestic Theater, I was making station breaks, and covering Spark's rear when he did not have all his records with him and had to kick it back to the station. On Saturday nights, I took requests from callers to the station. In the final analysis, I WAS better than Sparks :-)
